A well-known athletic trainer was arrested Thursday in Southern California after he was accused of allegedly sexually assaulting teenage girls, according to the Santa Ana Police Department.

Chris Flores, 37, of Bellflower, was caught during a traffic stop later a warrant was issued for his arrest after sexual misconduct of a minor.

Police began an investigation when allegations of the prominent trainer alleged that he allegedly groomed and touched two minors..

Accusations against Flores began to circulate when leaked voice recordings appeared on social networks between him and a 14-year-old girl, according to Santa Ana police.

In the voice audio obtained exclusively by ABC7, a male voice is heard asking, “Did you delete something?” while the minor confirms that the texts have been deleted.

The male voice continues to ask her about a date, but the girl rejects his offer.

“What the hell? We never get cold and now you don’t want to go and you’re about to start school,” said the man. “So stop being an idiot.”

Police confirmed that the voice in the audio messages belonged to Flores. The girl told Santa Ana police that Flores, who served as her trainer, allegedly sexually assaulted her multiple times during 2021.

Flores, known as “Coach Frogg,” is linked to multiple high-profile college and professional athletes who have either coached or worked with him.

Former NFL cornerback Jason David expressed disappointment in a video statement posted to Instagram, saying he would cut ties with the coach amid the investigation.

David and Flores trained with each other and founded an athletic program called STARS Prep Academy in 2017, according to ESPN.

“Never in a million years would I have ever imagined releasing a public statement to address sexual misconduct allegations involving Mr. Flores and our innocent little girls,” David said on Instagram. “I’m sick to my stomach. I am disgusted. I am indignant.”

The program uses Santiago Middle School campus to train in Orange County – where approximately 100 students were counted in the 2021 academic school year, according to ESPN.

High-profile players such as Kansas City Chiefs quarterback JuJu Smith-Schuster, Alabama quarterback Bryce Young and Clemson quarterback DJ Uiagalelei are linked to the Rising STARS program.

Flores is currently booked at the Orange County Jail and his bail was set at $500,000.

Police believe there are more victims and are urging anyone to come forward about Flores.
