Call it Kentucky Falls, Tennessee Top Hat or Missouri Compromise, at the end of the day it’s the same iconic haircut: the mullet.

And now fans of the business in the front, party in the back hairstyle have a chance to vote on their favorite styles in this year’s. American Mullet Championship.

Finalists in the children’s and teenagers’ categories were chosen earlier this week, and it’s up to online voters to decide who wins the dubious honor of multi-header champion before voting closes on Friday.

According to organizers, the competition has grown from a local competition in Michigan in 2020 to a national extravaganza of extravagant and questionable taste. This year’s entrants run the full spectrum from the infamous haircut of patriotic vibes, featuring a clipped American flag, to the more classy Mozart-esque flowing curly curls.

Contestants pay $10 to enter and CBS reports that “all donations go to the Michigan Wig Foundation for children.” First place winners each take home a whopping $2,500 prize.

For those who are curious and have the time to think, below are some of the top finalists. Who do you think deserves to win?

Rustin from Pocahontas, Ark., is among the youngest participants in the contest.
