Emirates cabin crew jobs available in Australia as perks revealed

One of the world’s best airlines is recruiting staff for a job that has some of the best perks imaginable and an enviable starting salary.

One of the world’s best airlines is recruiting Australians in three major cities who are looking for their career to take off, literally.

Emirates, based in the United Arab Emirates, is advertising cabin crew jobs in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

The airline is holding a recruitment day across the country – in Brisbane on June 21, in Sydney on June 23 and in Melbourne on June 25.

It is part of a global drive to recruit new talent in 30 cities around the world.

“With Australia being one of our most important markets, Australians have always been well represented in our workforce contributing to the success of our airline both locally and globally,” Barry Brown, Emirates’ Divisional Vice President for Australasia, told The Daily Telegraph.

“We’re excited to welcome more Australians to our team in the sky at an exciting time for the industry and our airline, as we celebrate 25 years of service to Australia.”

The Emirates website outlines the “requirements” for the role.

“A personality that shines, the ability to adapt to any situation and make people feel at ease. These are a few of the qualities we’re looking for in our cabin crew,” the website reads.

“As the face of Emirates, you’ll be the person customers turn to for help and direction when they fly with us, so you need to be friendly, observant and able to provide the right support.

“Being a member of the cabin crew is so much more than a service role – safety is our highest priority.

“You’ll need to lead confidently and take control when it comes to managing aircraft services, security, and safety procedures.”

All crew receive training at a state-of-the-art facility in Dubai but there are some basic requirements that potential employees must meet first.

They need to have had more than a year of experience in a hospitality or customer service role, be a high school graduate, speak English, be at least 160cm tall and reach 212cm on tiptoes and have no visible tattoos.

The average total pay is just under $4000 a month in Aussie dollars. Staff also receive meal allowances, hotel accommodation and transport while working, as well as some concessional travel.
